George and Linda Harper's 17 year marriage has gone stale, but George doesn't seem to be aware of it. When confronted with the problem, he gets a vasectomy, which solves nothing, so he moves out. Linda rearranges her life by enrolling in self improvement courses. Trying for an amicable divorce, they agree to use one lawyer and hire their closest friend. When this backfires, George attempts reconciliation by trying to seduce Linda on their living room couch. George botches the seduction due to the pressure of trying to perform well and due to the unexpected return of their son from a date. But it does result in their realizing they still care about each other...and that marriages need working at, need to be renewed and renegotiated from time to time and that their's is certainly worth a second chance. Since the Second World War, British designers have revolutionised our homes, our workplaces, our roads and our public institutions. In November the Design Museum opens its new £83m home in Kensington. To mark this great moment for British design, BBC Arts profiles ten great living British designers. Arts reporter Brenda Emmanus meets and profiles our 'Top 10', to find out what inspires them to make such phenomenal objects. She reveals how designers have responded to society's evolving tastes, from the brash 60s modernism of Margaret Calvert's road signs through to the colourful technology of Rick Dickinson's ZX Spectrum. She also meets Britain's most prolific designer, Sir Kenneth Grange (Intercity 125, bus shelters, the Kenwood Chef...), as well as Andrew Ritchie, who gave the world the Brompton Bike And we also hear from an illustrious panel of celebrities whose lives have been transformed by British design, including Will.i.am, Jeremy Paxman, Pete Waterman, Ade Adepitan and Jenny Eclair.

In the focus of Djurdjevic's only seemingly "simple" plot are three urban 30-year-olds, stuck somewhere on the first life curves - either because of an inferiority to an employed wife, or because of their inability to prove themselves through superficial sexual adventures, or the overwhelming urge to humiliate his friends behind the "mask" of innocent jokes. However, the equally important protagonist of the play "Don't Bet on the English" - the protagonist who is both inside and outside them - is one of the essential demons of human nature: a passion for gambling, more precisely betting. An emerging form of this obsessive passion is, for Djurdjevic's heroes, betting on the results of matches of various national football leagues.

A Boeing 727 airliner belonging to Transcon Airways is scheduled to depart from Los Angeles en route to New York via a pit stop in Salt Lake City. Flight 602 is under the care of Captain Pete Douglas, First Officer Stan Burkhart and Second Officer Mike Fuller. The overall atmosphere on the flight is upbeat, despite Captain Pete Douglas` absent-mindedness due to his worries about his wife`s upcoming surgery. Her doctors want to remove a lump in her breast before it becomes malign. The captain also worries about the announced snow storm that prompted some airports to close. He hopes to arrive to his destination in New York before the storm intensifies. The airplane makes its scheduled stop in Salt Lake City where it`s refueled and takes on a few more passengers. Among the new passengers are an extradited prison inmate and his U.S. Marshals escort who are also traveling to New York. The aging Marshal has heart problems but is otherwise strong as a bull and is well armed.

The story about a family that must maintain an insatiable grandmother.
